使天下皆被道而趨利 , 則人主之所最病(1)者。



〔註釋〕(1) 病 :  憂慮 。


〔白話 〕假使天下的人都違背道義
                  去追逐利益,
                  那便是君主所最為擔憂的事了。




If  everybody in the country contravened codes
of morality and righteousness to pursue personal
benefits, this should unquestionably be the greatest
concern for a ruler.
