夫兄弟者,左右手也 。
譬人將鬥而斷其右手,而曰我必勝
若是者可乎 ? 
夫棄兄弟而不親,天下其孰親之 ?



〔白話〕兄弟之間就像人的左右手 。
               比如有人將要打鬥時,
               卻砍斷自己的右手,反而說我一定能取勝
              像這樣可能嗎 ? 拋棄親兄弟而不親近,
              天下人還有誰可以親近呢 ?


Siblings are like the left and right hands of a man. 
For instance, if a man about to engage in a fight were to
cut off his right hand claim that he can win the fight,
does this make sense ?  

Will a man who abandons and distances himself from his siblings
be able to befriend anyone ?
