夫為上人 ,竭至誠開信以待下,
則懷信者歡然而樂進；
不信者湳然而回意矣。

〔白話〕在上位者,若竭盡至誠至信來對待在下者
則有誠信的人就會歡喜並樂於效勞
缺少誠信的人,則會羞愧而回心轉意。
If a man in high position could treat his subordinates
sincerely and earn their trust, trustworthy persons
will be keen to serve him while insincere people
will feel regretful and change to respect him instead.
