妖 由人興也。 人無釁焉 ，妖不自作。

人棄常， 則妖興。

98. Shen Xu replied Duke Zhuang of the State

of Lu ：〝Bizarre things and events are man-made.

If human beings do not commit any faults,

bizarre things do not arise by themselves.

If humans abandon the law of nature,

bizarre things and events are bound to happen.〞
